Doctoral Scholarship Research Position in Marine Climate Modelling at Stockholm University


Doctoral Scholarship Applicant must have a PhD in physical oceanography, with experience of 3D numerical modeling and, ideally, modeling coupled biogeochemical-physical ocean.

Research Position in Centre for Studies Black Women Scholarships


The Black Women Scholarships purpose of this research unit is to build a case for evidence-based direct investment more generally to the rainfed areas and the appropriate form of investment must be in related sectors. The project is funded by the Ford Foundation and will run until December 31, 2012.
A range of positions are being filled during the coming months, starting from young researchers to senior colleagues. This is not time-bound positions, and therefore applications are invited on an ongoing basis. Successful candidates must have a PhD in Economics and a combination of field survey experience, proven ability with statistical and econometric packages and reasonable publication record. Salaries for each position will be given as per agreed upon in the final project budget. For clarification please contact the Project Director. The

Civil Engineering Black Women Scholarship


This Black Women Scholarship is available to outstanding international high school graduates (70% or above in year 12, or equivalent). The purpose of this scholarship is to attract students to study a Bachelor of Civil Engineering at La Trobe’s regional campus in Bendigo. It offers the opportunity for students to work in a region which currently faces a skill shortage of civil engineers.

The Black Women Scholarship, worth $20 000 over 4 years (or $5 000 per year, subject to satisfactory progress) will be offered to all students who meet the entry requirements and accept an offer to study the Bachelor of Civil Engineering at the Bendigo campus starting in Semester 1 (March) 2012.

Black Women Scholarship Students applying for this scholarship must meet the following English language requirements:

IELTS – a minimum overall band score of 6.0 with no individual band less than 6.0, or
TOEFL – a minimum score of 550 with a score of 5 or better in the test of written English, or
TOEFL – a minimum score of 233 with a score of 5 in essay writing.

Senior Lecturer Black Women Scholarships in Sustainable Development


Black Women Scholarships the School of Geography, Geology and the Environment is seeking a Senior Lecturer to deliver the undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes across a range of courses relating to Sustainability. The main purpose of the post is to carry out teaching and administration within the School including fieldwork, practical studies and project supervisions (as appropriate).
